Initial meetings

Before you speak to our team, consider what has triggered you to seek financial advice, your short, medium, and longer-term goals and what questions you would like answered.

The more information you can bring, the better. This includes any income or pension details, existing protection and insurance policies, your expenditure and details of any mortgages or loans. If you think we might need it, then bring it along to the meeting.

Definitely not. We will never accept your instruction during the first meeting. Instead, we will leave you with our client agreement and brochure so you can think about what we discussed in the meeting and whether you would like to instruct us. There is never any obligation to proceed during or after this initial meeting.

How we work

Of course. If you don’t take up our ongoing service, we can work with you on a transactional basis and a fee would be agreed based on the scope of the work.

We would typically conduct meetings over the phone, via video conference or in person, depending on your preference and what is most convenient for you.

We are. Being independent, we aren’t tied to any particular product or provider; we can therefore recommend financial solutions that are completely tailored to your individual needs and objectives.

We are directly regulated by the FCA. You can find our entry on the FCA register here.

We are Pension Transfer Specialists and have significant experience giving this type of advice, however, like most firms, we are currently outsourcing this work to a reputable specialist. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss this arrangement.

We work collectively for all our clients, so there will also be a financial adviser available to discuss your affairs.

We typically charge a fixed reporting fee for the initial work, and any subsequent implemented recommendations are charged on a percentage basis. This is always agreed in advance, and there is never any obligation to proceed with our recommendations.

Absolutely. The vast majority of our clients take up our optional ongoing service proposition.

There will never be a tie-in period, and you can cancel at any time without charge.

We only receive commission on insurance work.

We don’t charge VAT.

During our initial consultation, we will determine how and if we can enhance your life and whether our services align with your needs.

To provide value we require you to fully and accurately disclose all relevant information. This includes information about your current pensions and ISAs, plus your short, medium and long-term goals. The more you tell us, the better our advice will be.

While managing your finances yourself is possible, working with a financial planner can provide expertise, objectivity, bespoke advice, and time savings that can lead to better financial outcomes and peace of mind. We treat you as an individual and will tailor strategies and solutions specifically to your needs, goals, and risk tolerance.
